To Joe III, may you keep well in Kuwait while there. I have come to this site several times and always find something interesting. Although I have yet to find anything on my specific line beyond Robert "Robin" Hanna b. 1754 in Co. Derry or Co. Monaghan, Ireand. I hope one day I will.

This is very interesting. I am from Kansas City, Missouri, son of Joseph Scott Hanna. I will research my grandfather Hanna who was a Bishop in the Methodist Church. My son Joe, III, has just left for Kuwait to participate in civilian support for the war.

Even though I'm a couple of thousand miles east of the territory of Clan Hanna(y) West, I'm pleased to visit your site and sign your guestbook. I am a County Commissioner in Chester County, PA, and will be happy to roll out the welcome mat for Clan members visiting here. What do you know I finally found my clan! Although distantly related (an Ellen Hannah from Glasgow, my great-great-grandmother, immigrated to Australia and married a Lane) I wish I had discovered this sooner so I could have proudly worn the Hanna tartan when competing in Scottish Dancing as a child. Instead someone decided "Hamilton" was close enough. That is just insulting.

Has there ever been any research concerning the Hanna Clan and our being part of the lost tribes of Isreal? If you could research what the Bible says on this subject, you will find the tribes were scattered and some crossed the Caucus Mountians thus the name Caucasian. They fled to the Isles that are call Ireland,England and Scotland. The crest, coat of arms, the clan plaid and other things can identify that these people are the true ones from the tribes of Isreal. It would be fun to hear your thoughts on this subject. Many Thanks, D. Hanna Bonney

Hi I'm 13 and I was just curious about the Hanna Castle and so I went to do research on it and it brought up this site I have been finding lots of things here, it's really neat. When I get out of school I want to travel around the world and do documentaries on old buildings and I want the Hanna Castle to be the first one. I would also like to find some of my family in Scotland (if we even have any family in scotland) thanks alot Marissa

Hello everyone! Well, I know practically nothing about my family history apart from that my dad Thomas Hannah came from Motherwell in Scotland and moved to England when he was 12 in 1962. If anyone can shed any light please let me know, it's great to see so many of you.

I was surfing and thought I would record my visit. I really enjoyed reading the comments from earlier visitors. I just wanted to thank you for maintaining this page. It is a good way for us to reach and look for kin. My family line begins in Mississippi, at least early 1800's or beyond. I have been told that we may go back to Virginia before then but I have no proof. Thanks again for the page and chance for family reflection time. Eddie Hannah
